FIRST TIME USERS
First time users of Parliament Hill: An Interactive Tour are advised to read the HELP FILE'S contained within the application.
CONTROLLING SOUND
Parliament Hill: An Interactive Tour features an audio track that is controlled by two separate means. Your computer system's volume controls the overall audio volume. This includes button clicks, introduction music, and video clips. Parliament Hill also features ambient background sound in the Quicktime VR tour, and background music that plays throughout the production. The volume of these two sounds can be controlled independently of the other sounds. A separate volume control found in the top left corner of your screen, can be used to increase, decrease, or turn off the ambient background sound and music. Keep in mind that this control cannot override the master system volume, and has no effect on the volume for video clips.
KNOWN COMPATIBILITY / PERFORMANCE ISSUES
This release has been tested to run on a minimum 68LC040 processor, such as that found in the Performa 580. The program may run on a system with an earlier processor, but Voyageur makes no claim as to it's compatibility, and can provide no technical support for earlier processors. In general, performance can be greatly enhanced by upgrading to a faster CD- ROM drive. Five megabytes of FREE RAM is recommended, but you may attempt to lower the recommended RAM requirement by one megabyte in the application info box. Voyageur makes no claim as to compatibility with less than five megabytes of free RAM and can provide no technical support for systems configured as such. Attempting to print a large number of items in the same sitting may result in a printer overflow error. If this occurs, restart your computer and continue to print from the point at which the error occured. Installing the Quicktime 2.5 extensions are optional, as most Macintosh systems ship pre-configured with these extensions. Parliament Hill: An Interactive Tour is compatible with versions of the Quicktime extension after 2.0.
UNINSTALLING
Excepting for the installation of the Quicktime extension, the Parliament HIll application is entirely contained in the "Parliament Hill ƒ" folder. Simply drag this folder to the trash to uninstall the application. Quicktime is a core system extension, and un-installation is not usually necessary or recommended.
